The China Information Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine Established the Intelligent Decision-Making Sub-Association for the Comprehensive Evaluation of TCM
In order to build a technological source for the high-quality development of TCM, establish a diversified and efficient TCM service system, and gather new forces for the development of TCM, the founding ceremony and the first academic seminar of the Intelligent Decision-Making Sub-Association for the Comprehensive Evaluation of TCM, under the China Information Association of TCM, were successfully held in Beijing.
The former Deputy Director of the National Administration of TCM and President of the China Information Association for TCM, Wu Gang; former Deputy Director of the Administrative Service Bureau of the National Administration of TCM, Vice President, and Executive Secretary-General of the China Information Association of TCM, Zhu Jiaqing; the former Party Secretary and Director of the Beijing Food and Drug Administration, and President of the Beijing Pharmaceutical Society, Cong Luoluo; the former Party Secretary, Director, and Chief Researcher of Institute of Basic Clinical Medicine of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, Wang Yanping, as well as experts and scholars from various fields of the medical industry participated in the conference.

The conference announced the list of the first board members, including the President, Vice Presidents, Secretary General, Deputy Secretary Generals, Executive Directors, and Directors. The association was officially inaugurated, and plaques and certificates were presented to its members.

Wu Gang emphasized that the establishment of the Sub-Association marks a new starting point for the development of comprehensive evaluation and intelligent decision-making in TCM. It injects new vitality and momentum into the field of TCM comprehensive evaluation, which is of great significance. Using the association as a platform, developing a methodology system and intelligent decision-making tools for clinical comprehensive value assessment and transformation with TCM characteristics is a concrete action that responds to industry development needs and addresses industry “pain points”. It is also a practical step to enhance the service capabilities of TCM.
Liu Baoli stated that the Sub-association focuses on the development needs and technical challenges of the TCM industry. It is guided by clinical value and driven by innovation, carrying out in-depth research. At the same time, it will deeply integrate modern technological methods with TCM theory, promoting the digital and intelligent transformation of the TCM service system.

Yi bowen pointed out that the greatest significance of the establishment of the branch lies in strengthening academic research and collaborative exchanges, and in constructing a scientific and systematic technical system for the comprehensive value assessment and transformation of TCM, as well as intelligent decision-making tools. This will provide more effective evidence support for government health policy formulation, clinical treatment plan optimization, and other multiple scenarios.

The founding conference was held alongside the first academic seminar. The seminar focused on the theme “Clinical Comprehensive Value Assessment and Transformation Technology and Methods in TCM”, inviting 12 authoritative experts and scholars from the industry to give keynote academic presentations. The seminar addressed industry hotspots, led academic frontiers, and engaged in in-depth discussions on new ideas, knowledge, and technologies related to clinical comprehensive value assessment and transformation technology in TCM, exploring feasible paths for promoting the construction of a high-quality TCM service system.
